Today was my first visit to the JRH and I was horrified at how dirty the hospital was. The main entrance area is filthy. The outside seating areas are also disgusting. Medical staff taking breaks and eating lunch etc. with their feet in piles of cigarette ends and ash and then walking back into the hospital no doubt that they take the dirt on their shoes back into wards and working areas. I was also appalled at how dirty the male toilets were on the ground floor. The only area that was half clean was the M&S food shop.
The main entrance reception seating area was also filthy and not fit for purpose.
Do the powers in charge not see this filth when they go to work each day; If they don’t see it then they need to be replaced.
It was a cringing first visit to the JRH and a National Disgrace.
