About: NHS Tayside / East Scotland Breast Screening Centre

(as a service user),

I attended Ninewells hospital breast screening unit for my 14: 30 appointment.     Firstly I was met by a very friendly receptionist who welcomed me into the area and showed me to the comfortable sitting area.   I was shortly met by the Health Care Assistant who took me through into the consulting room.   She introduced herself and asked if I had any questions.   After having a general discussion, she called for the Doctor to attend.

At this point, I became very anxious about the procedure.   The Health Care Assistant immediately offered me her hand and as I am currently pregnant she started to ask me about how I was keeping etc.   The Doctor was extremely gentle and I hardly even felt the local being injected.   I felt completely at ease in the care of this Health Care Assistant and Doctor who worked seamlessly together and offered a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere.   Thankyou so much for your time.
