I came to the hospital with my baby because I was concerned about her. I did have a doctors appointment however I felt I couldn’t wait this long with her she was drowsy and deteriorating. The triage nurse told me I shouldn’t waste my time because I wouldn’t be seen before my appointment, with a smart tone and a raised voice to me, which my daughter was getting upset about.
It’s unacceptable that I was made to feel the way I did. I was also sat in a covid waiting area where there was patients who was confirmed covid with NO mask on. I decided to leave with my baby girl for our safety; in a hospital of all places. This also made me angry. Since being in A&e we had had a negative covid test and now I have tested positive for covid. I truly believe that we contracted the virus from the area in which that nurse put us in. Why is there not stricter infection control actions in a hospital
