My elderly mother was in the Lockhart suite for a week, for alleged rehab after a severe infection. A dementia patient who had a 17 minute seizure was deemed fit to be released home the following day. After the seizure I was told she’d be in for at least another few days, but the following day the doctor deemed her fit to go home - I’d like to hear this doctors thoughts if that happened to their own elderly mother.
I was told to come and collect her ASAP as they needed the bed. I’m horrified at this decision, she couldn’t even walk more than 3 steps without near collapsing. They also tried to release her wearing nothing but a hospital gown as they’d lost her clothes…..and just expected us to take her out as she was and forget about her clothes. Absolute disgraceful and downright shocking treatment of elderly vulnerable people, I'm worried, very worried
