"Community nursing care"

About: Lanarkshire Community Services / Community Nursing Service

(as the patient),

When I was discharged from hospital nearly 6 weeks ago, I was expected to self-inject the anti-coagulant. I found this very stressful for my husband and myself. I contacted the Community Nurse Team in Cambuslang. Every day for the completion of the course I received my injections. What a lovely, friendly team of nurses they were…..very caring!

The 2 nurses I saw more than any other, were Claire and a young gentleman (whose name I can’t  remember, unfortunately… sorry to you!)

Thank you for being there!

Dear MarlS21

Thank you so much for sharing details of your recent experience with the Community Nursing team on Care Opinion.

I am so pleased that we were able to arrange for the Community Nurses to take over the responsibility of your injections at home. I can appreciate that having to self inject can cause some anxiety and I was pleased that we were able to relieve you of this stress. Please be assured that I will share your lovely comments with the team involved in providing this service to you at home.

May I offer you continued good health for the future and thanks again for your lovely comments. Take care.

Lesley

Dear MarlS21

Like Lesley, I would like to thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with the Community Nursing team. We often support patients and families to self care with their injections but recognise that this can cause stress for many. I am really pleased that you had such a positive experience on this occasion and that the team could support you with this and alleviate any stress that you were experiencing.

I will link directly with Claire and the team and personally pass on your thanks. I wish you well in your recovery and thank you very much for getting in touch with us.

Take care

Lynsey
