I don't eat meat. The only option for tea yesterday was supposedly scrambled eggs. What I received was the colour and texture of under-done pork. Plus the smell was sickening ....a cross between bad fish and rotten eggs. I had to ask for tray to be removed and spray room with perfume.
I sent photos to my family under the question ,'what is this?'..no-one guessed it was meant to be scrambled eggs.
This evening the only thing with no meat was a slice of cheese pizza which was so overcooked my knife could not cut through it so I had to scrape off topping and eat just that. The accompanying chips were cold and tasteless...no salt, pepper or vinegar on tray.
How does anyone expect patients to get stronger on food this poor.
By the way, I transferred here from another hospital three nights ago and the food there could be classed very good... why is the Royal Victoria catering not of a similar level of another NHS hospital... as I assume both catering teams face same challenges re cost per meal and transportation.
