I underwent surgery at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert. I was operated on by Mr Barrowman, assisted by other NHS staff. I was very nervous going in for the surgery, but the staff nurse was very reassuring and helped settle me before I went into the room for the surgery.
On going in for the surgery Mr Barrowman was exceptionally understanding and reassuring. He went through the procedure step by step and continued to talk me through it as it was underway. This had me at ease very quickly and before I knew it we were engaging in pleasant conversation and my nerves were gone. The doctor assisting Mr Barrowman was equally pleasant and made the surgery pass very easily.
Overall, Mr Barrowman and every other medical professional showed great diligence and attention to detail and answered everything I had to ask cogently. I will always remember the first class courtesy and professionalism that was shown to me today by all involved, and I thank them for all their fantastic efforts.
My best wishes to them, and to all NHS staff.
