I had a positive mammogram in June, was recalled to the Breast Clinic and seen within 3 weeks, had an ultrasound to confirm the mass which was biopsied. A week later I was seen with the results - an intraductal carcinoma - I saw the Breast Care nurse, the surgeon, had a further ultrasound to place a marker beside the tumour, a mammogram to confirm position and given a date for surgery 4 weeks later. I had surgery in the Arthur South Day Procedure unit which was comfortable and a reassuring atmosphere, I went home
in the afternoon and have just been seen for a follow up appointment. Throughout my treatment has been professional, kindly, considerate and a really pleasant experience. I cannot praise the breast care team highly enough and am very grateful to the NHS and in particular the N&NUH. Thank you.
"Amazing service"
