"I was always on someone's radar"

About: Alexandra Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I want to thank the amazing staff at Redditch A&E today. I arrived at lunchtime on Sunday with a dreadful headache. Everyone was so kind, from the lady on reception, to the super triage nurse (who admired my “proper running trainers”) to the thorough and kind doctor and the wonderful nurse, Paula.

I was triaged within 20 minutes of arrival, and in a quiet area within another hour. Bloods and a scan and a check by the doctor, I was discharged about 6 hours or so later. The radiography team were friendly and even the Porter was chatty and efficient.

Long delays, but to be expected at a weekend but with staff checking in and making sure I was “ok”, I felt secure and always on a radar for someone.
