"Extremely disappointing"

I have been depressed and anxious for several years and this recently escalated to crisis approximately 3 weeks ago. I sought help for this and was recommended talkworks. After waiting a week for an appointment I had a lengthy assessment for about 45 minutes I was told it was still not completed and they wouldn't be able to arrange to finish it for another week, 2 weeks in and I was told that the person reviewing my case was away for a week so I wouldn't be able to start any form of treatment for almost another 2 weeks. This has only exacerbated my stress and anxiety and left me feeling hopeless with how I am meant to improve in the meantime as all I was provided with was phone numbers for being in 'crisis'. if I had been told at the beginning that any help wouldn't start for over a month I would have looked into alternatives or private counselling. If you need urgent care or timely help please don't engage with talkworks as you will likely be left feeling even worse with no help.
