"Great joined up care"

About: General practices in Greater Glasgow & Clyde Inverclyde Royal Hospital / General Medicine ( wards G North, G South, J North, J South & L South) Royal Alexandra Hospital / General Medicine (wards 8, 10, 11, 14, 18 & 27)

(as a service user),

I was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver (non alcoholic) and have experienced great 'joined up' care from services. I have a named nurse and consultant, as well as a very good GP.  I can contact

Maxine, at the liver clinic Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, my designated nurse at any time during 9-5 Mon- Frid. She usually gets back to me the same day or the next.

This gives me confidence in my treatment and knowledge of what exactly is going on.

Congratulations to them all

Re:- Granny1953

Thank you for taking the time to post details of your experience. I will ensure that this is shared with the relevant team. I am glad that the multidisciplinary approach to your care has been recognised and that you are receiving the relevant treatment in a timely manner. I appreciate it can be quite daunting but having a named contact should keep you well informed at each stage and I am glad Maxine maintains that contact with you. I wish you well with your treatment pathway.

Kind regards

Alison
