"Restarting My Career"

I was referred to Younis (my employment specialist) from my CPN Sharon last year. We had a number of challenges getting into work, especially with Covid restrictions in place. These included Covid-19 lockdown continually changing, me not having no smartphone, laptop, internet or even an email address. My Employment Specialist Younis maintained contact with me and we worked together. I wanted restart my career as a cleaner again. It wasn’t long before we started receiving interview invitations. Younis continued to work with me and helped me with interview prep.

I was able to secure a part-time post with a care home in Ashfield. I have now progress to a Fulltime job now in a new care home, and I think is in my dream job. The job is within walking distance and permanent. I can see myself in this job for life and retiring with them.

Younis is still working with me and supporting me when I need with my new job and I am extremely pleased with what I’ve managed to accomplice with the support from Sharon my CPN and Younis. Without them helping me I don’t know what I would have done.
