"Experiences in hospital"

I have received very good care throughout the many times I have been in hospital either as an inpatient or just for appointments. The Thorndale Unit is a brilliant department. All the staff are very good and they always keep me very well informed. Sometimes it can be hard to understand some of the doctors. When I have been admitted to hospital, often I am moved around quite a lot and over the last couple of months and there has been a lack of continuity as sometimes doctors say they’ll do things but then don’t follow through when I then get moved somewhere else. The doctors are all doing their best for the patient though. Every time I have been admitted I have come through A+E but I think it seems like such a cruel way to get people into hospital as they are left on their own for so long and they are often so ill they can’t communicate properly. Apart from this I have received excellent treatment and consultation since coming to the Thorndale Unit and I have really appreciated being able to have my wife into my appointments with me even during Covid.
