"Admitted to hospital"

About: Broomfield Hospital / General medicine

(as a service user),

I was admitted and was found to have a colon infection. Even though on the Friday I still felt ill, hadn’t eaten and hadn’t passed any stools, they discharged me. When I questioned this I was told that my bloods were okay and that’s why I was being discharged. When I raised my concern of still being in pain, not eating and having not been to the toilet for a week, the reply was if you get worse you no where we are. After coming home I still haven’t passed any stools and I am blocked solid and in so much pain. Today I rang Heybridge Ward to tell them I was in pain and still can't go to the toilet of which one of the nurses said ring your doctor tomorrow as they can help me as I have been discharged.

I have never felt so upset at how these people could treat a human being, I think a dog would probably get better care. I suggest they listen to patient's before merrily discharging them.
