"Postnatal care in EOU"

About: Maternity / Emergency Obstetric Unit

(as a service user),

I have had to attend the Emergency Obstetric Unit in the Ulster following the birth of my son due to high blood pressure. I was extremely anxious and upset to have to return to hospital following the birth of my son.

The staff in EOU are efficient, professional and calm. They  are great at communicating their plan and also at listening to your point of view and involve you in your care. The midwives were very busy and have to balance the care of other patients but they take time to explain things. As a nurse myself I value their attention to detail and professionalism.
