"Not the best experience "

About: Queen Charlotte's Hospital

After finding out I was pregnant in December, I choose Queen Charlotte after plenty of careful research. My ‘booking’ appointment at 8 weeks was ok, although I though the midwife was quite curt and not very kind to me. Reception staff very lovely.

Second appointment was my 12-week scan. Sadly, a missed miscarriage was identified here. Whilst the sonographer and doctor who was bough in were nice, I wasn’t given any information and simply told to come back in a week for another scan. No leaflets, nothing. I had no idea what to expect and my partner and I left devastated and very confused.

A week later at the follow up appointment, I had a very unsympathetic doctor and I was overall very unimpressed with the care I received. I then transferred to St Mary’s and couldn’t praise them more highly for their handling of a very delicate situation.

All in all, if I’m lucky enough to get pregnant again, I will not be returning.
