About: Cancer Services / Living With & Beyond Cancer (Fern Centre)

(as a service user),

I visited the Fern Centre for the first time today. It has a very bright and inviting reception area on entry. I especially like the level which was accessible and near to some parking spaces. It could benefit from more parking in the immediate vicinity because it's a long walk to the main car park with mobility difficulties.

I would recommend the the services I came for.

Dear Shelley01

Thank you for your positive feedback regarding the Fern Centre. I am pleased that you enjoyed your visit but note well the lack of parking in the immediate vicinity. However, there are several disabled parking bays for those with a blue badge just a bit further up from the centre.

I will make enquiries to the Estates team to ask if there is a possibility of having two parking bays allotted to the Fern Centre, although I think this was raised at the initial planning stage of the new build and dismissed in favour of the disabled bays.
