"The nurse and doctor on call"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / General medicine (Wards 5d)

(as a relative),

My niece was admitted at the hospital on Sunday, I had switched with my sister and arrived late Sunday night to sit by my niece. During the time the nurse on call Emma and doctor Susan were absolutely amazing! They not only looked after my niece but also myself. They were so gentle with my niece as they seen her sleeping, they done regular checks and always kept me up to speed. If I was unsure of something they would explain it nicely in more detail. Overall in a hard situation the nurse and doctor both made it a manageable time. Honestly thank you so much to both Nurse Emma and Doctor Susan.

Dear Careforu

Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback in regards to your experience of visiting your niece in the General Medicine Department of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

This must have been extremely worrying time for you and the family so I'm glad the staff, especially the nurse on call Emma and Doctor Susan, kept you informed of your niece's progress and explained it in a manner that was understandable.

I will happily pass on your comments to all involved who I'm sure will be as touched as I was to hear your comments.

I hope your niece is recovering well.

Kind regards

Kevin
