I honestly don’t know where to begin thanking the midwives and doctors that took care of myself, my husband and our baby girl.
I attended the MAU in the morning, as I had been having regular contractions throughout the night, I was examined and decided to stay in while my labour progressed. I was eventually taken to the labour ward in the evening, where I was given an epidural by Tom almost as soon as I arrived, which I couldn’t have been more thankful for. Our midwives Rachel and Debi were just the most amazing people ever, we felt so cared for and safe. I was also examined by 2 doctors (I wish I could remember their names) who eventually delivered our daughter by c section. When we got to theatre I felt so reassured, our daughter was delivered safely in minutes. Throughout our time in theatre I was constantly checked on and all of our wishes were met. Everyone was so professional. I really hope our thanks can get to Rachel, Debi, all doctors and anaesthetists, we are so grateful for everyone!
