I phoned today as my dad is 90, lost his wife, had Covid and had a leg amputation. He received a letter from Lewisham and Greenwich NHS trust advising that he have a follow up Covid appointment with his GP. I was told by the receptionist that this letter and proposed appointment may not be applicable/ valid (words to that effect). I said, ‘hold on’ my dad has not had any appointment with his GP since coming home from his leg amputation- and his other leg is not great. I was assured I’d get a phonecall today- I’m not surprised to say, I didn’t. Disappointing lack of care, but the surgery is so bad now, I am not surprised in the slightest. Looks like I shall have to call again in the morning.
