Went to rheumatology after being sped up by my main doctor after a positive ana test. Arrived at the appointment and the doctor i saw was more concerned about money “the nhs wont pay for a £300 magnifying glass” and stuff like that. He was very condescending and i felt very uncomfortable with him the whole time. He didn’t want to help me at all.
He didn’t want to do more investigative tests as “his valid important opinion i dont have a rheumatology problem” and when booking tests (that i have had done before) said “might as well cost the nhs more money”. When he asks why i was up there and i said the doctor suspects an autoimmune/connective tissue disease and I believe it too he said “ah thats the real reason then”
He spoke down to nurses and seems to think he’s above GP’s, patients and everyone else. Over all a very dismissive, rude and condescending man. He spoke to me so poorly I actually had a breakdown when i got home as i am out of options for treatment now.
