"Breastfeeding support"

About: Fife Community Services / Breast Feeding Support Service Maternity care / Community Midwives

(as the patient),

I have had support from the breastfeeding team twice. With my son almost three years ago now, who I fed for 22 months and with my daughter who I had almost 6 months ago and am still feeding happily.

I had a really hard start with my first and it was all down to the knowledge, passion and commitment I received from the breastfeeding team that made me able to continue. They gave me all the information and support I needed to get through all the pain and hard parts. I couldn’t thank them enough for giving me that help to have the most amazing experience with my son and give him the best start in life. They also helped me massively with me second after a really traumatic delivery.

Their service is so important to me and so many others that I know.

Dear Flamingo27,

thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience of support from the breastfeeding team. I am really happy to hear that the team were able to help you through some challenges with your first, and different challenges with your second wee one.

I think other new mums will appreciate hearing that help is at hand for breastfeeding challenges, wherever you are on your breastfeeding journey.

I will be sure to pass your feedback on to the team. They are always happy to hear they have made a difference and contributed to mums breastfeeding successes.

I wish you and your wee ones well.
