In 2018 I had an ear infection. I was given an appointment with a nurse and not a doctor. After four months of pain a d loss of hearing I finally saw a GP and was prescribed antibiotic rare drops. It got better in a week but I now have tinnitus.
Six weeks ago I saw GP as I felt very unwell and was having difficulty in breathing. The doctor listened to my chest and arranged an ecg and chest X-Ray.
I went for the ecg and nearly passed out. I could hardly breathe at all now. I told the nurse I needed help she said no one was available.
By the evening I was gasping for breath and felt extremely unwell. I rang 111.
Within two hours an out of hours doctor called at my home.
He immediately diagnosed a chest infection and gave me a course of amoxicillin. I. am better now but have been very unwell for an unnecessary amount of time.
