"My stay at Musgrave Hospital Belfast"

About: Regional Disablement Service / Amputee Rehabilitation Unit

(as the patient),

Attended for Prosthetic Use.

I resided at Musgrave for two weeks in July. Doctors in charge were Hillan and Connelly.

The attention received both in the ward was five star and no words would describe the service received. The detailed attention to my stump condition skincare and other minor ailments were total. Covid precautions were 100%.

Instruction in the physiological centre was precise patient and complete. No words would justify the fitting and walking with my prosthetic leg.

With regard to getting back into society, I was able to play a church pipe organ with some degree of competence with my prosthetic on.

Sister O’Reilly saw to my every need on the ward and the staff overall could not be praised enough for the polite and expert care administered to me.
