"A thank you from our daughter"

About: Antrim Area Hospital / Ward A2 Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

February 2021 was not an easy one we were a house all riddled with covid a few weeks later our daughter age 6 was admitted to Antrim children's hospital with long covid.

What can I say, there really aren't enough words of gratitude to the AMAZING TEAM on the ward. Nothing was ever too much trouble even for the fantastic Drs who spoke with humor and ease to our daughter to ensure she felt comfortable and nor scared.  As parents the last thing we want is to spend days in hospital but with this team we felt reassured that she was in the best hands.

They explained everything in a manner that made our daughter feel in control and not frightened.

Special thanks to Dr Bailie, Dr Jackie & Dr Ryan (who made us laugh so much and loved to call them by their first names) . The 3 of you played a huge part in helping us cope with a difficult situation during a very difficult time (covid).

You are all absolutely amazing.

Thank you so much 💓

Thank you very much for your kind words for the A2 team and individual clinicians. I will ensure that your feedback is cascaded down at ward level. Glad that we were able to alleviate yours and your daughters concerns and anxieties.
