Over my lifetime I have been in hospital on many occasions, with my first trip to Daisy Hill Hospital being at the age of 5. Over the years, I have had many good experiences as well as bad. Thankfully, my most recent stay has been excellent.
After being referred to a consultant through my GP, a bed was made available for me up on the female medical ward. I was so very happy and glad to have gotten the bed - as well as very grateful for the fact I was examined and seen so very quickly. All the staff have been super -they are just so very kind and explain everything. I would like to specially mention my doctor. She explained everything so very clearly - she made sure to use terminology that I would understand and she really could not have been any nicer to me.Having had many hospital experiences, I can happily say that the food is so much better than it used to be which I am very grateful for.All the nurses which have been involved in my care up on the female medical ward have shown such kindness and I am yet to meet somebody who has been in anyway unpleasant. The only thing that I find a shame is that you don't get to see the doctor at the weekends, so you have to wait until the Monday morning to receive a proper update as to how things are progressing. However, I am entirely understanding that the Doctors also need a break.Overall, my recent stay in Daisy Hill Hospital's Female Medical Ward has been a positive one and all the staff should be commended.
"An overall good experience"
