"Poor service"

About: St Helens Road Practice

I was 10 minutes late for a blood test appointment and was prepared to wait to be seen. I explained to the receptionist that I had forgotten my mask when they asked me to account for my tardiness. They barked "Sit over there & wait to be called." No please or thank you. Next thing I'm being told I can't be seen that day as the nurse is too busy (this was in a waiting room that was empty bar me). I said "Please, I've been waiting for 3 weeks for this, I can wait but I need to be seen." I was told no, the next appointment in 2 weeks. I walked off in anger. This is an appalling way to treat a patient. To add some context, I've been at this practice for about 15 years with no previous complaints.

Dear Neil

We are sorry you are not happy with the service provided by the Practice on this occasion. As you stated you were late for your appointment and the Health care Assistant had other patients booked into her clinic. We do always try any to accomodate patients who are late but unfortunately on the occasion we were unable to do so. Please contact the surgery to rebook the test if you have not already done so.
