My time in the Trauma unit has been okay. I came in on a recent morning and have been awaiting an operation. The staff are good I think they just could say more to you about what is going on I find I end up having to ask them a lot of the time.

My operation keeps getting pushed back and I'm not really sure why or the reasons for this each time, they don't really say why. The food isn't too bad and the ward is clean which is good. I think just being given more information would be good as my mum and dad at home are keen to know what is going on. It is sad there are no visits and I do miss my parents but I know obviously nothing can be done about that. I am able to facetime them here on the ward so it's been okay so far.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of Trauma Ward, Craigavon Area Hospital. It is reassuring to hear that the ward cleanliness and food is satisfactory.

We strive to ensure good communication channels and keep patients and their families well informed. I am sorry to hear your operation has been delayed. Trauma theatre lists run on a daily basis and we strive to facilitate your operation as soon as possible.

It is unfortunate your parents cannot visit. We are experiencing unprecedented times and hope that visiting can resume soon.

I hope your operation is scheduled soon and wish you a speedy recovery.
