I have been a patient at Plymouth ey hospital for several years. In February last year my Cornea became cloudy after several visits and lots of medication I was last seen in May 2020 when I was told that I needed to be seen in 6 - weeks as I would next to see the cornea consultant. It is now late July and some 15 months since my last appointment and despite numerous calls when I have been told of delays due to Covid and there is only one consultant who deals with corneas . I have still yet to receive an appointment. Meanwhile my GP referred mr to Moorfields who did the cornea transplant in April this year. The consultant wrote to Plymouth Eye Hospital and suggested they needed to see me to monitor my retina. 3 months since he sen the letter still no reply from the hospital and I now have retinal problems. I did look up the 'busy' borne consultant at Plymouth and discovered that if I wanted to see hime privately I could do so on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays at teh Nuffield. I need say no more I would recommend avoiding teh eye hospital at all costs, but no need as you will never get an appointment to see anyone.
