(as a service user),

I fell down the stairs when drunk and I broke three vertebrae. I came in via ambulance and that was all fine, the team were absolutely great. I was also quickly seen to in the emergency department and was moved up to the ward as soon as a bed became available. Chris has been very good to me on the ward, and Caroline and Vera can't do enough for me. I have been in a couple times in the past but this time the fall has scared me straight... it'll take me a while before I have another drink. Anything that has gone wrong has been my own fault and mine alone. the nurses are lovely, pleasant and polite

What a frightening experience that must have been so thank you very much for taking the time to share compliments for the staff.

It is always heartwarming to hear statements such as yours "the team were absolutely great!" Our staff go out of their way to support patients both clinically and emotionally to help them through traumatic accidents such as this. Their skills and expertise in the face of difficult and stressful situations is impressive.
