"Not all superheroes wear capes"

About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Female Medical

(as a service user),

I have been on the female medical ward for a few days now after being admitted from the emergency department. I am a type 1 diabetic and for the previous few days had a sickness bug  during which time my blood sugars were poorly controlled. Since being on the ward I have really been able to see how excellent the staff are, the nursing staff cannot do enough for you. They really are the definition of the phrase not all superheroes wear capes because they are just great and I feel like I have been kept well informed since I have been here. The only small suggestion I would make is to provide more shower facilities on the ward, as for a few days one of the showers was broken and there were very limited showering facilities for so many patients, but apart from that everything has been good.

Thank you for your kind comments on the staff, it is great to hear that the communication has been good and you have felt well informed throughout your stay.

I will ensure all your feedback is passed on to the team on the female medical ward.

I hope you are recovering well and wish you all the best.

Take care,

Rebekah
