I came into the emergency department on Friday past and spent a few days there on a trolly beds but the staff eventually got me a hospital bed and I was made much more comfortable. I was soon moved to 1 south where the staff have been so lovely eventhough they are super busy all the time. I sometimes just wish there was a little more communication with scan times. For example yesterday I was woke at 8 and told to rush with carers round me to make a scan at 8. 20am. I am an elderly woman and we like to take our time and get quite panicky when rushed especially when you are only just awake. The carers were still lovely and apologetic but I feel if I was told a time to be ready the night before I could have been up and ready to go at my own pace and save everyone rushing. The staff down at the theatre are lovely. The ward is very clean, sometimes the toilets could be cleaner but this is not the staffs fault it is some patients fault. Maybe more regular checking would be suffice to resolve this issue.
