"Really well looked after"

About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Elective Overnight Stay Centre/Gynaecology Ward Daisy Hill Hospital / Emergency Department Daisy Hill Hospital / High Dependency Unit (HDU)

(as the patient),

After falling off my mountain bike, I came to the A&E at Daisy Hill Hospital. Due to the severity of my injuries, I was seen to reasonably quickly. I spent 14 hours in the Emergency Department - most of which I was in a side cubicle which I was very grateful for.  All the staff that I met were very good.

I was then moved to the High Dependency Unit (HDU), where I spent almost a week.  The HDU staff were all brilliant and I felt as though I was looked after really well.  Again I was lucky to get my own independent room which I appreciated as it was nice, private as well as quiet.

Following this, I was moved to the Female Surgical Ward where I spent the night.  All the staff here have been incredibly good, understanding and caring.

Overall, I have been generally happy with the care I have had - there are no improvements I feel need made. Well done all!
