"I was told to just get up walk but I needed surgery"

I began my Craigavon Area Hospital experience via A& E after being in a car accident at 4am. I was in immense pain and couldn't walk but after a CT scan the staff in A& E told me that nothing was broken and that I just needed to get up and walk. I insisted that I couldn't and they got a gynae specialist down who then discovered I has a huge cyst that had ruptured in my pelvic area. How this wasn't picked up on in a CT scan I don't know.

I felt the staff in A& E underestimated my condition and made my A& E experience horrific.

After I was moved up for pre and post surgery to 4 North, my experience has been completely different. I have trust in the staff and they have communicated everything to me so well. All my questions have been answered and I feel aware as to what's happening regarding my care. I never am afraid to ask a question and the answers staff give me are in such good detail I feel reassured. I know I am well informed about my operation and aftercare.
