My mother was admitted to hospital with blood cancer. She was in various wards but was eventually transferred to the care of Ward 34 in the Victoria hospital.
From the minute she arrive I was impressed with the care. The staff were so considerate and professional. My mum was poorly but mentally well. The rapport with the nurses was excellent. My Dad (88 years old and blind) was also scooped up under their wing and taken care of.
I can not express how good this felt for my sister and I.
Mums condition deteriorated quickly and she passed away on the 28th June. The staff were so compassionate and again so considerate of my father.
I would like to say a huge thank you to all members of staff in Ward 34 for the exceptional care they gave not only to my mother but to my Father to.
It was a long haul for my mum with many admissions to hospital and I have to say I had become quite despondent about some of the nursing care??? However Ward 34 restored my faith in nursing and I cant thank them enough. My dad would also like to extend his gratitude for their care of him through what has been an exceptionally hard time.
