"Complete hip replacement"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I was admitted to ward 16 wgh after an accident  that resulted in a complete  hip  replacement.

I would like to help to reinforce the staff level of moral.  The nursing staff were all kind, caring, even under extreme pressure from a ward that had patients put into 4 beded bays that were already at their max.

(5 patients in a 4 beded bay).

From the ward domestics to medical staff were all helpful and kind.

This ward epitomises the nursing care that the 21 St century of the NHS represents despite their trials and tribulations.

I am a nurse and understand the levels of pressure the ward is under and the one to one nursing care is a major strength from all members of staff.

It made my stay a lot more positive than it could have been.
