I have had an excellent experience in hospital. I have realized how lucky I am to be part of this system. I was initially brought into Daisy Hill A&E two weeks ago and I was seen to very quickly. The staff in A&E there all seemed like a happy family which was nice to see.
I have always found the staff to be very approachable and very helpful as well.
One of the downsides of going from Daisy Hill to Craigavon is that I felt like I sort of slipped through the cracks and was kept in the dark a bit about my care and scans. I wasn't really kept in the loop by doctors and for about a week there I had no idea what was happening or when my surgery was. I also had to wait a while for my surgery but I know that's not the staff's fault at all.
I have enjoyed being in Craigavon and it is pleasant inside and in the hallways as it's so much quieter due to so few visitors being allowed in. I like this because it also means it's cleaner and easier to get around.
All in all I am very grateful for the high quality of care I have received and for the genuine care from all the nurses and doctors (and all staff really!)
"Very impressed with my care"
