The staff have been extremely pleasant and are doing their job really really well. Everything in terms of my care and treatment has been communicated really really well. I feel listened to and not afraid to ask any questions. If I do ask a question it is answered in great detail and in terms which I can understand. I find this ward a very good environment although the temperature can sometimes get too warm.
The food was quite good. Overall I have nothing negative to report in terms of staff. One suggestion I could make would be in terms of parking, the parking spaces are a very far way to walk from A& E especially when you drive yourself in and are in a lot of pain. Additionally my experience in A& E was horrendous the treatment I was given on my first A& E attendance wasn't right and meant I had to return to A& E 2 nights later, thankfully I have now been admitted into a ward where I can be monitored more closely.
Although all staff on all occasions were helpful and friendly. Speaking again on a recent A& E experience with my husband I could also suggest some improvements. My husband had took a stroke and I rushed him in to hospital as I felt that would be a quicker option than calling the ambulance but when I got him in to A& E we still has to wait in a long queue to speak to the receptionist, especially when a stroke is an illness which must be treated as soon as possible, although when we eventually got to speak to the receptionist he was seen immediately.
"Long wait times in A&E but extremely pleasant staff"
