I’ve been in between Daisy Hill and Craigavon for the past three months. I’m currently in Daisy Hill following my movement from HDU in Craigavon to HDU in Daisy Hill and now onto the Medical ward here in Daisy Hill. I had multiple organ failure and survived. I was on life support and then moved to 4 South in Craigavon. I was also in HDU for 20 days. The care I received in Craigavon was fantastic. The doctors and nurses were lovely. The same can be said of the nurses and HCA’s in Daisy Hill especially Dervla, Moria and Caroline. Jill in ICU in Craigavon was also brilliant when she was caring for me as were Niamh, Lucy and Wendy.
The food is terrible though. Breakfast isn’t awful but the bread isn’t great, but lunch and dinner are awful.
I have got on well with most of the nurses on the Medical ward in Daisy Hill but there have just been a couple instances where the attitude of the nurses hasn’t been great
But overall I am grateful for the care I’ve received as the doctors and nurses have saved my life
