On monday evening our 4 year old fell off his bike. Being the first incident where we needed medical assistance, we weren’t really sure where to attend.
On arrival to the hospital we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who took our details and booked us in a quick and professional manner. Sent through to triage, in a matter of mins we had been seen and all checks done.
The nurse we saw had a warm and soft way with kids and made it a very easy process. Sent through to wait we were informed it may be a wait. However called in just over 90mins, it wasn’t long at all.
The doctor we seen was lovely and had us cleaned up and glued up and on our way in no time. An overall experience of 2 hrs.
I want to thank and praise all the staff in Daisyhill A&E as I know they have such a busy task in hand. So instead of hearing all the doom and gloom stories of waiting times I want to share our story to inform people of a positive, professional and fast service we experienced in a&e.
