On first arrival (a over crowded room full of adults) I was made to give all my personal details for everyone to hear at the reception desk (while my baby lay in a pram with a temperature of 43 degrees) I now have a random man that keeps calling me and knows my baby's name, address and all my details, so thanks for that! really smart move.
By far the WORST paediatrics I have ever experienced both in my nhs career and as a patient. People who kicked off got seen before us, that is a disgrace. You really should be embarrassed of yourselves. 7 hours later we eventually got seen, in-between
he got given some drugs. Nobody did any important observations on arrival or until the end. I was the one checking his temperature regularly, a lovely nurse (rushed) checked his temp twice throughout the whole visit. I had no idea if he was having a fit or not in his pram or asleep, I was left to observe all this alone. We had no idea what was wrong with him, he could of ate something dangerous, had meningitis etc knows! A risk you should be aware of. You never bothered to do the correct tests! 7 hours for what? Observing my surroundings I noticed a small baby asleep across a vile chair with serious breathing issues, again no observations or monitors in place and a long wait. It wont be long before a child dies at this place!
Since then we have taken him to a much better hospital and he has had much better treatment.
