Mental Health Unit. Stayed for a month.
Staff are good most are lovely and caring, RMN’s lovely. Some HCA staff are untrained and inexperienced, food very good. Good routine.
Security poor, three escapes and it is a secure unit.
The management is a bit poor, senior staff, too posh to wash syndrome. Not accessible.
Old building, tired but very clean. Broken seats and balls on the roof. Garden tidy but boring.
Not enough activities. Very boring. One OT and no therapy. No psychology. Enough care to get you stabilised but then can be detrimental and not therapeutic which is a shame.
Staff could take more initiative in therapeutic activities and not easy board games. Some staff are inspirational and have expert backgrounds but this is not encouraged by management or utilised enough. Not enough exercise.
8/10
Thank you for looking after me.
