"Antenatal appointment"

About: Perth Royal Infirmary / Community Midwifery Unit

(as the patient),

Registered my pregnancy weeks ago and have called the maternity unit 3 times now to chase up when my first appointment will be! ! I am 9 weeks today and know from my previous pregnancy that I need to have bloods take by 10 weeks! Was told 3 days ago that the midwife I have been appointed to may have been on leave, so that is why I haven't heard anything but she would call me yesterday (no one called). Should someone not be covering things like this if the midwife is on leave? ? Called again today and midwife is in my rural town tomorrow but they don't think she has space for me. I have a toddler and my partner works full time, so not knowing what is going on is not helpful! I feel like I am an inconvenience and they do not have time for me. Does not fill me confidence for the rest of my pregnancy.
