"Respect for patient autonomy"

Admin staff can often be rude and speak to patients as if they are naughty children. Some of the doctors are okay but there is a real authoritarian approach with no listening to patients or respecting patients right to make their own decisions. Patient confidentiality is broken frequently if a staff member wants to chat about your business with their friends or colleagues at other organisations. I just wish staff knew the terrible impact this can have on people’s lives by behaving so unprofessionally.
