I have been trying to contact Newgate Medical Centre for 3 days now. I ring and have spent a total of 6 hours on hold this week alone. I tried yesterday but to no avail. I tried to access my online account but it does not recognise my log in details.
I phoned again only to hear a voice mail telling me that the whole team was in training for the full afternoon until 4pm and to ring back then. I called back after 4. The Options available on the call were not appropriate for my needs (I. e. to get support to access my on line booking as I cant seem to book an appointment any other way) - Having pressed option 0 to speak to the operator someone actually picked up. I explained my dilemma... they then put me through to reception and I sat on hold for yet another hour and I have still not spoken to anyone.
I have tried yet again today... I am currently on hold as I type this and have been for another 45 minutes and counting. I appreciate this is a very challenging time for everyone but this is a continual issue and the last time I was ill I just gave up altogether even trying to access the health care at this Medical Practice. Not feeling well and not being able to even speak to a receptionist let alone a GP is really unacceptable.
In terms of how this has made me feel... well its made me feel that this is exactly what I should expect as my experience has always been the same and maybe now is the time for me to change GP practices to try and get the health care I need now and in future.
