"colonoscopy"

About: Leigh Infirmary / Colorectal surgery

(as the patient),

I was so nervous about having my colonoscopy as I have  had a couple of bad experiences in the past. I arrived at Leigh Endoscopy unit and straight away I was put at ease by Sue the nurse. She told me that she would be with me throughout the procedure and she would look after me. After talking to her I felt a lot calmer. She then introduced me to Sara, who was the Endoscopist , she was so lovely and caring and had a great personality. She knew I was very nervous and made me feel so at ease from the beginning to the end of the whole colonoscopy. I even felt relaxed enough to watch the procedure on the screen near towards the end of it with the help of Rosh another nurse making sure I was in the correct position and more comfortable.

I cannot  thank these ladies enough definitely the best colonoscopy  experience I have had and I have had quite a few over the years.

I would also like to thank the staff on the recovery ward for looking after me.

Everyone was amazing!!!
