"Worst staff and behaviour for first time mother "

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

Staff were rude on laborHDU and postnatal dept. Even when my partner couldn’t stay with me, instead of being supportive they used to be annoyed on the fact that my baby isn’t feeding (when actually my baby had difficulty in feeding and was admitted in icu later on).

They were being annoyed on the fact that I had to call them more than once in night! When actually doctors had recommended me feeding my baby in front of the staff!

In general it was one of the worst experiences and an utter nightmare for a first time parent!! HDU staff had went to the extreme talks about being a first time mother which they had pathetically phrased as “leaving their babies onto us and they are sleeping as if they gave birth for us” -it is so shameful and embarrassing and annoying to know this when they know what the mother’s labor was, how long, how difficult and what complications thereafter! They had even left the dignity out of doors when telling me to pick up luggage to get baby’s clothes outside when actually I had a urinary catheter inserted.

I am certainly not recommending this place to anyone and would never be back there again!
