"No appointments"

About: Robin Lane Health and Wellbeing Centre

I called at 8am to ask for a telephone appointment. Once the call was answered I was informed no prebookable appointments were available. I asked for a same day appointment- to be told the days appointments were fully booked. With no alternative option available.

My contact was not needed for an immediate problem thankfully but the fact I could not book any appointment was very poor.

I will have to keep calling at 8 am each day for an appointment- and yes I have tried to book via the online system to be told - no appointments available.

This is inconvenient for a working person.

Please try to address these issues robin lane.

Thank you for taking your time to leave your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you have been experiencing difficulties when trying to book a telephone appointment.

We are aware of the issues patients are currently facing when trying to obtain a GP telephone appointment and we are currently reviewing how we make appointments available and feedback (such as yours) is extremely helpful in doing so.

Appointments are in high demand and are getting booked extremely quickly, irrespective of the route these are released. Currently, a percentage of appointments are released online at 7pm the evening prior, and also 8am the same day and some appointments are released at 8am for booking via the telephone. I am sorry that when you contacted the surgery at 8am you were informed there were no same day appointments available to book, and there was nothing to prebook for a future date. Our call handlers are trained to signpost patients to other available services should they require same day medical assistance.

An additional route available for our patients are e-consultations, where non-urgent healthcare advice can be obtained without having to book a GP appointment. Both clinical and admin requests can be submitted via this route. To use this service, visit our website and complete the online consultation (robinlanehealth.webgp.com), between 8am and 12 midday. I sincerely hope you have a more positive experience with the practice in future.
