About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Cardiology (heart problems) Ward 1E

(as a service user),

Appointment  attended at Royal Children’s Hospital, Glasgow to discuss daughter’s diagnosis of Coarctation of the aorta. 

All staff that we met ( from the cheery door men, receptionist, ultrasonographers , clinic staff and Consultant Dr Walayat ) were helpful, kind and caring.

Please continue with the great job you are all doing. 

The Glasgow spirit and hospitality is well and truly evident!!

What lovely feedback and thank you!

We strive to provide a warm welcome in a friendly environment to everyone that walks through our door, and that is largely down to the excellent work our Outpatient Manager, Karen. Our Director / Chief Nurse have passed on their thanks to Karen and her team.

Our Sonographers; Cardiac Clinic Team and Dr Walayat are all an absolute asset within our wider multi-disciplinary cardiac team and we can't thank you enough for sharing your experience of care with us. Every comment you have made will be shared with our teams alongside our own sincere gratitude, and I know the Cardiac Clinical Lead has already been in touch with them, with his own thanks.

Coming to hospital, particularly right now can be a worrying experience, so I'm really glad we got it right for you.
