This practise is an absolute joke. I was on the phone this morning after a call back for half hour. I went on line to book my son in to see a doctor. Also for me to have a review for medication. 2-3 weeks absolutely discusting. Get a grip haxby group. NHS at its worst.

Dear Mrs Ellerby, I am sorry that you feel our service is not up to standard. We work hard to provide the best care for our patients. You may have heard on the media that general practice is under extreme pressure at the moment. We are seeing far more patients then pre-pandemic and call volumes are also very high. This is a national issue which the Government is aware of. Where there is a finite resource decisions have to be taken as to who gets seen first as has always been the case. Appointments are allocated based on need and not want, be this face to face or telephone. Practices nationally are reporting waits for routine appointments of 2-3 weeks and Haxby Group is no different. I am sorry your son had to wait longer than we would like to receive an appointment.
